Pacific Northwest Library for Sex Positive Culture
We achieve our mission in part by maintaining and expanding our library. The Pacific Northwest Library for Sex Positive Culture has a broad collection of over 10,000 pieces—many rare and unusual—and is one of the largest of its kind.
The Collection
The Library includes fiction, nonfiction and pulp-fiction books; magazines and periodicals; and comics and pictorials. There are carefully preserved reference and special collection books. In addition, there is a large media and pornography section.
Topics include human sexuality; sexual techniques; sacred sexuality; BDSM, polyamory, swinging, nudism and other sexual activities and practices; sexual health; gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer topics related to sexuality; erotic literature; photography and other images; sexual entertainment; sexual politics; body modification; and more.
Using the Library
The Library has space for on-site reading and researching. It is organized by the congressional system, and trained librarians will be on duty to assist you.
Members of the Center can check out materials for up to four weeks. If you are not a member and would like permission to check out materials, please contact us. With permission, non-members can check out materials.
Donating to the Library
Donations to the library may be tax deductible.
Donated items are professionally cataloged by the congressional system and are preserved in an orderly and safe environment.
Drop off donations directly at the Library. For larger donations, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.
